Mapperley Methodist Church Refurbishment

Improve access and modernise the facilities.

To improve the site the applicants intend to:
• install a 3 stage lift to enable all users access to all areas of the church
• refurbish the lower hall kitchen in order to offer a first class, modern cooking and catering resource
• provide a disabled toilet on the lower floor
• upgrade the loop system in the worship area and the extension of this facility to all other communal rooms
• install a modern audio system to the worship area and all other communal areas
• install a new visual system to the worship area and lower floor hall
• removal of the transept pews and one pew at the front of the main worship area to provide more flexibility including children’s and prayer areas, display facilities and space for community users.
