Market Development for Lower Grade Composts

The project will identify possible uses fo lower grade composts derived from complex organic waste streams with special reference to contaminated land remediation, land restoration, industrial crops and soil manufacture for specified end uses. Its objectives are, first, to ascertain the biological and chemical impacts of such composts on soil-plant-water relations, plant growth, soil pH and redox buffering capacity, etc. Second, it will appraise the risks involved in using such materials as well as estimate potential volumes/pricing to enable markets to develop paying due to regulatory issues
