Markham Vale, Chesterfield – Heritage Trail

The Walking Together Heritage Trail is a historically significant project to remember the 106 miners who lost their lives in the 3 major disasters of 1937, 1938 & 1973 at Markham Colliery incorporating 106 steel figures to symbolise the miners’ journeys from Duckmanton to the pit and back again.
Phase 2 of the heritage trail will include 55 figures
