Markham Vale, Chesterfield – Heritage Trail Phase 4

The Walking Together Mining Memorial Heritage Trail is a historically significant project commemorating 106 miners who lost their lives in 3 major disasters of 1937, 1938 & 1973 at Markham Colliery incorporating 106 steel figures to symbolize the miners’ return journeys from Duckmanton to the pit. Phase 4 will complete the trail with the final 13 figures.
