Marksbury Village Hall New Roof

Marksbury Village Hall was built in the early 1960’s using a pre-fabricated construction method which was popular at the time. The roof is made of a pre-formed structure covered with plywood and then three layers of bitumen based material (rather like a shed roof). The material was last replaced around 25 years ago and is showing significant wear with one small leak in the toilet block, the guttering sagging badly and some of the roof covering cracking. It needs to be replaced before winter 2019 according to the roofing specialists.
