Marshlands, Frodsham

This arboretum/nature reserve is owned by Frodsham Town Council. The local residents, who recognise the importance of the site for local wildlife and access, which have been involved with the woodland management. Recent years have seen further planting and selective thinning and the provision of a pathway. However, attempts to create a circular path around the area have been thwarted by the very wet nature of the northern part of the site. This project will enable the completion of the circular route laying a robust path across the difficult boggy area. A full circular route is seen by residents as being a key requirement for encouraging greater use and enjoyment of this site.
