Marton cum Grafton Outdoor Education Facility

The project will construct a’classroom’ for outdoor education of members of the local community and in particular local school children. The classroom will comprise seating, table and chalk board. Clearance of undergrowth in the woodland will be necessary to complete the work.

By constructing an outdoor education & nature study facility in the Parish owned woodlands the project aims to encourage residents, visitors & school children to take an active interest by directly participating in & learning about their environment whilst helping the Woodlands Group with their broader objectives to encourage access, provide amenity & ultimately promote ecological diversity within our parish woodlands.

The project will also be a part of the ongoing establishment of a diverse community facility & natural hub on land that had previously been a working sand & gravel quarry.
