Master Park Pavilion Heating

To facilitate wider use of a community building by improving the heating so that the building is useable by local groups in the cold months. The pavilion heating was always inadequate and is now partially broken down, so users need to bring in temporary heating. A particular need arises now to assist the Stroke Victims Support Association which has asked to meet weekly; keep fit and pilates classes which are held several days a week; social events; and football club training and matches, which take place at weekends and several evenings a week.
Engineering advice has been taken and the best option is a new installation of convector heaters on time switch control. The estimated cost is £1900. Thermal insulation was recently installed in the loft and double glazing is proposed under a separate project.
The need for improved heating has been made clear by all recent users including the children’s nursery, pilates class, football club, social activities and people attending meetings.
