Maybole Castle

The 16th century castle, situated on Maybole’s main street, is held in trust by the Cassillis Estates, and is now offered to May-Tag Ltd to own and to develop as a local community resource and asset. May-Tag will develop a community social enterprises within the Maybole Castle and its grounds, which will transform it into a multi-use community facility incorporating a Heritage Centre, Family History Research, Tourist Information point. Art and Craft Facility, retail shop and cafe all incorporating training, education, information, and access services. The woodland project will provide environmental and biodiversity training and employment opportunities in 600 acres of local coppice.
