Meadow Grass Areas in Larkhall Park

This project aims to improve the biodiversity of Larkhall Park by creating 850 square metres of species-rich meadow grass areas in different locations within Larkhall Park. Three priority areas have been identified as being suitable for the establishment of wildflower meadows, and were chosen because: • They are identified as areas which are currently being underutilised and have a low footfall; • They have appropriate exposure to sunlight and with low soil nutrient levels; • They are located and structured so that they can be easily maintained within existing budgets.
