Meals on Steel Wheels – Refurbishment of British Railways Mk 1 Kitchen Buffet Carriage No. 1971, Avon Valley Railway Heritage Trust, Bitton, Bristol

This project will complete the refurbishment of a heritage railway carriage to authentic 1960s appearance, whilst providing on-board catering that meets 21st century food safety and environmental standards. This will enable Avon Valley Railway (AVR) to continue providing a unique heritage railway dining experience to its local community in the greater South Gloucestershire, Bristol and Bath area, as well as attracting visitors and tourists from further afield.
