Meanwood Men War Memorial

The ‘Meanwood Men’ War Memorial is a Grade II listed building located on Memorial Drive in Meanwood. It consists of a stone based shelter with oak framed weather boards to the side and rear, a slate tiled roof and bronze crucifix. It was dedicated in 1922 and commemorates the Meanwood men who were lost in both World War I and II. The condition of the memorial has now deteriorated and the project involves the restoration and preservation of the monument for future generations.
