Meanwood Valley Urban Farm, Leeds - Inclusive Play Area Improvements (008494)

"The central aim of this project is to redesign and improve our farm site's current play area. Achieving this will involve:
- Resurfacing key portions of our existing playground to make them more accessible, inclusive and easier to maintain.
- Levelling existing pathways- currently either too steep or poorly maintained- which limit public access, especially for those with mobility issues. This problem has been highlighted by both a recent accessibility audit of our site and visitor feedback.
- Installing new play features with sensory elements to broaden appeal and make the space more inclusive- especially for children with SEN and additional needs.
-Installing additional seating to allow more people to use the space
-A range of changes to complement and improve our site's biodiversity. These include planting new trees, installing bat and bird boxes, and creating riverside observation areas next to our site's beck."
