Meeting Place – Blairgowrie

The overall aim of the project is to make an attractive local amenity by creating a central meeting place for residents (including young people who currently have nowhere to meet) and visitors. The site will be cleared and landscaped; seating, planting and floral displays will be provided as well as examples of local, rural skills such as drystane dyking and willow weaving. The site, previously a garage, is currently a derelict, redundant piece of land in the centre of Blairgowrie owned by Perth and Kinross Council and ideally located to develop as a local amenity as it is adjacent to the towns recycling area and a large carpark.
