Memorial Hall Improvement Scheme

The hall built in 1963, is held by the Parish Council as ‘Holding Trustees’ for parishioners. It is a community centre with adjoining tennis courts and a children’s play / recreation areas.
Whilst an excellent facility for the Parish, its heavy usage makes clear that we must both enlarge and bring it up to date to serve local needs.
It is used extensively by a local Pre-school Monday to Thursday during the day, Toddlers Friday morning and Brownies Friday afternoons. West Berkshire Ballet School run classes late in the afternoons and evenings and Saturday morning. Other local organisations such as Horticultural Society, History group, St Martins Club and Kats regularly use the hall for meetings and events.
The project is to upgrade the existing Hall and build on an annex hall to provide space for expansion and other groups.
