Memorial Hall Refurbishment

The external render of the hall was done many years ago and is in a very poor state of repair. This has led to water penetration and damp in both the rear ante-room and main hall. The project is to completely remove the damaged render, and replace it with a modern waterproof system.In addition, the wooden floor is in a poor state of repair. It needs to be sanded and re-sealed with a hard wearing, slip resistance coating. It is quite scratched and damaged in parts so re-sanding back to bare wood is recommended and a finish which will be suitable both for sports and for high traffic events such as coffee mornings and concerts.We have confirmed with Bruce Cardno and Cleaning Systems UK that their quotes are still valid.The final part of the project is to put an external notice board on the wall of the Memorial Hall to advertise events etc and to erect a free standing sign in the car park.
