Memorial Park Refurbishment Group

The aim of the project is to redevelop Thorntons Memorial Park in order to provide a safe and stimulating play environment that will be of benefit to the whole community and visitors to the area.

The old equipment will be removed and replaced with equipment that will meet the needs of all the children from toddlers to teenagers, as well as those with additional needs. It will also conform to safety legislation. The play park will be landscaped with native species, environmentally friendly and recycled materials will be used where-ever possible. There will be more seating and a picnic area and litter bins to make a more pleasant park environment for all park users.
