Mercer Hall – Bring back the dance

The project is to repurpose Mercer Hall into an accessible community space which will appeal to all, including more opportunities for young people/young adults. Hyndburn Leisure has undertaken in depth consultation with local residents to enhance the social and cultural landscape. The redesign will allow Mercer Hall to serve as a venue for workshops, group meetings, or larger events that other local spaces may be unable to accommodate. The part of the project that the landfill community monies will support is the development of a community space on the first floor.
Redecoration, lighting, and equipment for the new lobby area at the front of the building (ground floor currently the Feel Good suite) and the community room (first floor currently the Feel Good gym area)
