Mere Clough, Philips Park LNR Extension

The aims of the project are to enhance the recreational, educational and sustainable use of Mere Clough and ancient woodland and Grade A site of biological importance and as a extension to the adjacent Philips Park LNR. This will be achieved by: improving existing footpaths, improving environmental education resources relating to river studies on Bradley Brook which runs through Mere Clough, providing environmental art and seating, improving a guided trail, provision of training opportunities relating to woodland crafts and development of a network of local community and craft people who are interested in utilising woodland management by – products.
