Micklefield Garden Village Bankings

Garden Village (GV) Bankings is a large area of Public Greenspace within Micklefield, Leeds. The inclined bankings face the Great North Road, and connect the two main entrances into the Garden Village estate, which is one of the two large areas of Local Authority Housing within Micklefield. The project aims to create an attractive and comprehensive improvement to this public open area. Specific works include earth remodelling; stone walling and a Gateway Stone with planting; robust access controls, new handrails, including artistic metalwork; metal knee-railings; metal seating; a distinctive stone bus shelter; and new tarmac circulating areas.
