Mid Nith Fishing Piers

A double and a single fishing station will be constructed on the river Nith to facilitate angling by the disabled for salmon and sea trout. The project leader is the Mid Nithsdale Angling Association who lease the stretch of water. Related access improvements will be made to the approaches, including specialist works to cater for disabled persons cars and signage. A local and national launch of the facility, including training for disabled anglers and helpers, is part of the project. There will be no charge to disabled anglers. The associated footpaths and fishing will be available to the general public.
