Mike’s Meadow fencing for conservation grazing

This small flood meadow was purchased with a LCF grant to safeguard the wildlife value of the grassland. Work has been done to the hedgerows to reduce scrub encroachment and the meadow has been cut for hay to improve the sward for wildflowers. We now need to fence the site securely to allow aftermath grazing which will further reduce the coarse grasses, allowing the wildflowers and associated pollinators to thrive. We also need to carry out some tree safety work to facilitate the fence installation.
