Milkwell Burn Wood

the project aims to secure the purchase of Milkwell Burn Wood; a regionally important ancient woodland site within the Derwent Valley which itself is the most significant woodland landscape in the Durham region. By securing owenership of the Milkwell Burn Wood the Durham Wildlife Trust can begin a programme of restoration that will replace conifers with native broadleaves. By doing so the biodiversity value of the woodland will be enhanced and the Trust will be able to ensure that people have guaranteed access to an important amenity that provides opportunities for enjoyment of the natural worlds and education about the environment.

Propose additional text in section 10 to highlight willingness to legally protect LCF investment.
