Millwood Centre Play Area

Residents of the Kingswood and Milner estate initiated this project to improve play facilities for local children and to create greener surroundings in the city centre location. The project will replace the miserable and isolated pieces of underused play equipment adjacent to the Millwood Community Centre to provide and exciting and visually stimulating play area. The plans are to expend the range of play opportunities for younger children add play equipment that appeals to older young people and increase biodiversity on the estate by creating planting opportunities and create an environment that encourages intergenerational and community interaction.
