Milnrow Cricket Club, Rochdale – Community Space

To refurbish and reconfigure the lounge and divide the members’ lounge into a multi functional space appealing to more users and creating a base for local sports teams and community groups. Also to improve and refurbish the ladies toilets. They aim to extend their reach and host more community functions and events.
The capital costs of the refurbishment – dividing a larger space into a smaller function area and new ladies toilets with greater appeal than solely cricket. They also plan to replace the existing windows with bi-folding doors that open out to the pitch.
A number of local sports clubs and facilities have recently closed and a number are struggling. They want to bring together a number of local sports clubs under one roof to share resources and support each other. They have also been approached by Rochdale Boules Club who are looking for a new venue.
