Milton Keynes – Bletchley Park Energy Project

Provision of new boiler system to reduce heating oil use, cost and emissions. Bletchley Park is a 22 acre site largely containing buildings put up in the Second World War to house a codebreaking activity responsible for breaking the Enigma and Lorenz codes in particular. These systems were installed when the site had a much higher occupancy and much longer working hours than present. The existing systems have a number of potential areas for energy wastage: long heat pipe runs, storage at high temperature, rapid boiler cycling, low boiler efficiency.
