Minet Pond 50 Project

Minet Country Park is a green space for community use and biological conservation. We aim to create a new permanent wetland area to increase our network of standing water at the Park. This new scrape will help provide a better water supply for wildlife, especially through the droughts of the late summer. It will help create habitat for emergent wetland plants and provide food and shelter for wildlife, including rare water beetles, birds listed on the Red Birds of Conservation Concern (BoCC) List (such as skylarks), dragonflies and damselflies.
