Minsterworth Village Hall Disabled Access Project

The primary aim of this project is to enable greater use of the village hall by persons with physical disabilities and by young families. At present the hall (which was first built in 1928) has no disabled toilet or baby-changing facilities and access into the building for wheelchair users and prams/pushchairs is inadequate. We therefore propose dismantling the existing toilets and storage area and re-placing them with a new toilet block to include dedicated disabled facilities and provision for baby-changing. We will also have built an improved access ramp and covered entrance way into the hall building together with an improved storage area. The new build will also incorporate energy-saving provisions such as wall and roof insulation where appropriate, draught-proofing and de-stratification fans to recirculate warm air in the hall itself.
