Install a drainage system on the third fairway to rectify water-logging which is caused by a layer of clay lying 18-24 inches below the surface, trapping water and saturating the soil and turf. The solution involves installing a criss-cross system of lateral drains and lytag (lightweight aggregate) bands across the fairway.
