Monifieth Wildflower Meadow Project

To convert an area of sterile amenity grassland in the West End Park area to a species rich Scottish Wildflower Meadow. To dramatically improve the biodiversity value of the area for wildlife in general but also provide a designated area for the conservation of bumblebees that have suffered massive decline. Once the meadow is established volunteers from the community will actively incorporate this area as part of the Bumblebee Conservation Transect survey route as well as being used as part of the Butterfly Conservation Transect area.
