To dramatically improve the biodiversity value of the area for wildlife in general but also provide two designated areas for the conservation of bumble bees that have suffered a massive decline. Also incorporate these areas as part of the Bumble Bee Conservation Trust transect survey route and in addition form part of the Butterfly Conservation Trust transect area
