Monkton Nature Reserve, Thanet – Renovation of the Thanet Observatory (007818)

The project aims to renovate an unused, dilapidated astronomical observatory to provide an Environmental Education Centre on the nature reserve. The facility will provide space for educational work; focusing on nature and biodiversity and will be ‘go to’ place to learn about key issues through innovative, practical responses to learn about sustainability, whilst enhancing wellbeing through reconnecting with nature on the wider reserve.
