Montrave Hall Environmental Education and Outside Play Area

The project will provide an environmental education and safe outdoor play area for all users of the Montrave Hall in the Playgroup and After School Club. As part of the children’s pre-school education we want to sow and grow our own fruit and vegetables that the children will eat at snack time to teach them about the importance of biodiversity and the origins of food. This will all be done in a safe and attractive environment that will include planters, safe surfacing and new play equipment. The new surfacing and play equipment will allow the children to use the area in all weathers which is currently not allowed. We want to enthuse the children about the environment, about being outdoors and being active. The play equipment will include art and music elements, a sand pit and a climbing tower.
