Montrose Basin – Wildlife in Focus

Montrose Basin is an enclosed estuary of the River Esk in Angus. It is an internationally important wildlife haven, with the mudflats and surrounding shoreline providing a rich feeding ground which atrracts over 50,000 varied resident and migrant birds annually. The Wildlife Reserve and its Visitor Centre are well-used by the local community for recreational and educational purposes.

The aim of the project is to enhance the visitor experience of the Reserve by installing cameras at 3 key points of wildlife interest, which will provide close-up, high quality images of the rich diversity of wildlife to visitors.
