Moor for Wildlife

Our project will restore areas of blanket bog currently degraded. We will block ditches to raise the water table. Cutting and removing heather from the damaged top layer of peat, and cutting and removing dominant moorland grass (molinia) and scrub. We will restore these areas of bog by re-seeding with a mix of bog plants. This will improve the ecological viability of the habitat and boost biodiversity.
