Moor Lane Village Hall – Installation of Modern Kitchen

The existing kitchen in Moor Lane hall will be removed. It will be reinstalled at a new location in the hall. This includes wiring and plumbing and installation of new kitchen and catering kitchen equipment. The kitchen will be sectioned off from the rest of the hall.
The kitchen will also be used for events in the actual hall.
Social benefits from this venture. The community will attract many more events of those listed above such as parties, conferences, etc who are currently are put off by the kitchen facilities. It will also create more space for the events as the future kitchen will be smaller and more efficiently designed and is more accessible to the caterers and for deliveries. Social cohesion is increased as we host various community events such as fund raisers for various charities, youth club for large low income families, warm meals on weekend. Various educational events are also held throughout the year.
Economic benefits include new position for part-time caterer and workers and part-time event-officer. Apart from sending food to other premises, the caterer will also be able to provide meals to those using the hall for community events. Reducing costs dramatically for our organisation. Running costs of the new equipment will be lower.
