Morden Hall Park – Livinggreen Centre

Morden Hall Park is a much loved green oasis in the heart of south-west London. The project will renovate the currently unused 19th century stable yard, to become a centre for sustainable living. It will include interpretation and learning space, visitor facilities and craft workshops.

The project will renovate the east wing of the stable yard to create a flexible exhibition and learning space. It will house a demonstration centre, show-casing ways to save and generate energy and resources. Interpretation will be multi-layered to meet the needs of all visitors, including ‘hands-on’ activities and cut-through sections to see the technology in action. The second space will hold regularly changing exhibitions to explore the social, industrial and natural heritage of the area. The centre will be operated by volunteers, supported by National Trust staff, and interpretation will be developed with the local community.
