Morland Beck Restoration Project

To restore the weir, river bed, mill race and river bank following erosion and river bed alteration as a result of the severe floods of November 2009. The project will be undertaken with care so as to ensure the preservation of the habitat of the endangered White Clawed Crayfish colony that live predominently in the mill race water. This will provide an improved environment for the public and a more sustainable habitat for wildlife.
