Morven Park:Parkland and Orchard Restoration

The overarching aim of the project is to conserve, restore and improve the green spaces at Morven Park for wildlife and the local community. The specific aims of the project are:
– To restore the parkland landscape and habitat through extensive tree planting with appropriate species and hedgerow restoration
– To improve the surface of the footpaths and provide an additional pedestrian access point
– To manage the ponds and provide a viewing /dipping spot for educational us
– To improve Morven House orchard through fruit tree planting and restoration pruning
– To enhance the wildlife habitat through pond restoration, bird boxes, planting native trees, hedge restoration and the provision of nectar and pollen through planting and managing fruit trees
