Moseley Bog Local Nature Reserve

A three year programme of works to support the transformation of Moseley Bog LNR into a national flagship example of an urban nature reserve. The site was the childhood playground of JRR Tolkien, has a scheduled ancient monument, great community involvement and can lay claim to being the ‘birthplace’ of the urban wildlife movement. At present access and interpretation is poor, and ill serves visitors from the local community, across the UK and internationally. This project will upgrade access and interpretation of all area of the reserve, including making it accessible to persons with limited mobility.
