Motte and Bailey Castle, Bampton – New Playpark

Design and installation of a bespoke play and community space in keeping with, and enhancing, the historic Motte and Bailey castle site and it’s rich natural environment. This play space will be accessible to children of all ages and to individuals with disabilities.

Funding is towards the purchase and installation of play equipment, landscaping, planting, seating (benches and picnic tables) and fencing.

Bampton lacks a playground for people over the age of 8. If the project is not undertaken, there is concern that there is inadequate opportunity for play, exercise, socialisation and appreciation of the natural environment required to avoid the nationally recognised decline in wellbeing of young people.
