Muiravonside Habitat Conservation Project

This project seeks to conserve 2 habitats named as important by the Falkirk LBAP, ie Drystane Walls (Border Features) and Woodlands, both at the Muiravonside forest.

The project will train and engage conservation volunteers to perform Drystane dyke rebuilding, Invasive Species Clearance (Rhododendron Ponticum) and Woodland Planting/ thinning.

The project will run at weekends over a number of months, and encourage the volunteers to become their own community/environmental group.

The Project is being performed on Council owned land, who have given their full permission for the project to go ahead and have agreed to purchase any necessary materials for the project.
