Multipurpose Biodiversity Garden and Playspace at An Droichead

An Droichead has aquired 0.9 acres from Belfast Regeneration Office which currently is unsightly, unkempt and is being used as a dumping ground. The aim of this project is to enhance the site into a shared community woodland and garden which can be of great benefit to the surrounding community as well as the school. The project will create a multipurpose area that will include a safe play space for children, protect and encourage natural wildlife habitat, small woodland area and a community garden area. The project will create a valuable green lung with breathing space for wildlife and people in this dense inner city environment.
