Museum of Bristol

The new museum of Bristol will involve the city’s communities and visitors to create a special environment where the unique story of the city, its people and its place in the world can be discovered and shared, and inspiration found to shape the city’s future. Our vision is to create:
– A flagship museum presenting Bristol’s story to the world, with more than 250,000 visits per annum.
– Innovative new galleries and displays for the city’s designated collections.
– A space where the public contribute material and “own” the museum.
– A programme of community work to encourage non-traditional visitors to connect with the museum and participate in Bristol’s cultural life.
– A place which allows people to shape the city’s future through debate and conversation.
