Projects / Museum Site Gas Main Replacement

Museum Site Gas Main Replacement

The project covers the installation of a new gas supply system, to current IGEM standards to feed the Museum's boiler plant. This need was identified following a survey of the plant by NIFES (formerly the National Industrial Fuel Efficiency Service) which stated that it should be replaced when practicable. If we are unable to replace the gas main and continue to operate the engines the attraction of the Museum to visitors and its usefulness for education and outreach activities will be massively reduced resulting in the potential loss of viability of the Museum.
