My Space? Our Space! – Friends of Clinkham Wood Youth Team Wetland Project

The project is to dredge a silted pond that floods over onto local fields that border the wood and channel excess water into a nearby spring that flows through the wood, opening up the edges by taking out sycamore, building boardwalks over a wetland area, revetments for some of the banks, a bridge, steps and paths around the pond to offer access to the public and schools as well as a dipping platform. There would then be planting of native species wetland flowers and shrubs as well as transplanting of oaks and ash in the area.
