Nascoil na Seoltra 2

Our main aim is to introduce children and parents living in east Belfast to Irish language and heritage as a mechanism for community reconciliation. We want to offer children in east Belfast a chance to experience integration within an Irish-medium setting and to support parents. To offer children a broader range of friendships and experiences. To create a safe and shared space for cross-community events.
This helps children and families to build resilience in a divided society, creating a safer, more equal and thriving community where there was once division, violence and inequality.
We wish to improve the life chances of children in this area. Research has consistently highlighted the educational underachievement of young people within east Belfast and the long term disadvantages associated with this.
This project seeks to respond to this underachievement by enhancing educational opportunities for very young children in east Belfast.
This project provides a new educational opportunity for parents and children i contributing to the early years sector and improving the educational outcomes for young children.
