Nashenden Downs Living Landscape Project

This project has three overarching outcomes:
1. Conservation and enhancement of an ecological corridor conencting local wildlife sites and sites of special scientific interest within the Kent Downs area of outstanding natural beauty
2. Major habitat restoration and recreation; converting arable farmland into lowland calcareous grassland and creating wildlife friendly cereal field margins and crops – both national and local biodiversity action plan habitats
3. Fullfilling a need for an accessible greenspace amenity near Maidstone and the Medway towns and ongoing volunteering opportunities for the community
