Native Black Bee Farm

1. Generate a healthy, pure breed, Meta population of our severely threatened native honey bee and so provide pollination services that will greatly increase local bio diversity.
2. Help alter the land Management regime of several hectares of pre – identified urban, and semi rural land, ponds and watercourses thereby supporting 21 other BAP / NERC S41 species and 2 BAP habitats.
3. Train young people in basic entomology, Bee breeding/keeping, land Management and forage plant propagation.
4. Install protected native honey bee colonies in every one of Burnley Borough council heritage parks
