Nature’s Playground

The project will reconnect people with their natural environment and provide a high quality greenspace for the local community to enjoy:
– Create a thriving nature hub for recreation, volunteer training, public events and outdoor classroom. The hub is located in a disused basketball court, secured with fencing. The area will be transformed with a hedgerow maze, bulbs, wildflowers, mural and nature themed playground games. Provide a safe area for outdoor education, games, hedgerow maze orienteering, bug hunt, wild art and wildlife treasure hunt. Create an interactive nature trail along the main walking route. Recycle pedal boats into planters host to plug plants, wildflowers and holly. Enhance biodiversity through creation of priority habitats including wildflower meadows and hedgerow. Promote community pride and ownership.
